Wyatt's First Haircut!

We decided before Wyatt was born that we wanted him to have longer hair. We waited as long as possible before it was time to give him his first haircut. His hair had begun to grow uneven and was often a little frizzy in the back. So, we decided to cut it so that it would be even and then give the longer hair another try.

This past Monday, March 4th, we drove to Little Rock to Pigtails and Crewcuts. It is a fun little salon for children. Wyatt picked out a firetruck chair and sat perfectly still while getting his first haircut. He was given a few animal crackers to munch on...this may or may not have contributed to how well he behaved. ;)

We snapped a few before, during, and after photos.

Family Picture!
We are a little sad his sweet, little curls are gone and can't get over how a simple haircut makes him look so much older...but we are having a blast watching our sweet boy grow and transition into the toddler phase!

Earlier in the week we introduced the potty for the first time. Wyatt isn't quite ready, but I don't think it will be too much longer.

Wyatt's latest accomplishment is climbing! He can now get on all the furniture by himself. He has attempted climbing in and out of the crib but isn't big enough yet...thank goodness! Poor Mardi doesn't have a safe place anymore!

Our hearts are so full with love and joy and every day just gets sweeter!
