Merry Christmas 2013

Christmas of 2013 was definitely an amazing and memorable time. Wyatt really enjoyed opening gifts and was a lot of fun to watch. We had to keep him out of the gifts under our tree because he was eager to open them. I'm pretty sure every gift we gave had at least one tear in the wrapping paper. Thankfully everyone was understanding! He also had a lot of fun putting up the Christmas decorations!

Josh was still on crutches when it was time to get the decorations out of the attic but that didn't stop him. Victor got the boxes down from the attic and I carried them to the house. Then we all three dove in and started putting the tree up. I was so excited about the tree. We bought a new smaller one at Hobby Lobby and I think it fits just perfectly!

Wyatt loved the ornaments that played music. Specifically the Minnie and Mickey piano ornament that was one of our "half-anniversary" gifts from MiMi and KPaw. He would turn it on over and over again and just dance and wiggle. It was too cute!

This year we started a new tradition and adopted an elf from the North Pole. Wyatt named him Elmo. He made his appearance by hanging from the kitchen lamp. Wyatt loved waking up every morning to find Elmo's new place in the house.

Excited about this little elf!

Wyatt and I made some sugar dough handprint ornaments this year. Wyatt liked rolling out the dough. We probably spent the most time playing with the roller. We made an ornament for each hand. After they were baked and cooled Wyatt painted one while I painted the other. I think they turned out pretty cute and were perfect additions to the tree!

We started off our Christmas season by going to Conway to Great Nan's house to celebrate Christmas with my mom's side of the family. Wyatt loved his new Mickey Mouse movie and even let everyone watch it on Great Nan's big TV. Did I mention Kayla got to come home for Christmas?! Kayla and I surprised everyone by telling them Kayla wouldn't be here until a day later than she actually came! Wyatt and I snuck off to the airport with my dad to pick them up! We finally got to meet David and had a great time hanging out with them while they were here!

On Christmas Eve we went to the Candlelight service at church for a little while before it was time to head to my mom's for gifts and dinner. The candlelight service is a very sweet tradition that MiMi and KPaw started long ago with Whitney and Joshua. It's still hard for Wyatt to make it through the whole service, but maybe next year we will be able to make it to the end.

After the service we headed to GiGi's house. We had a great time visiting and hanging out with everyone and Wyatt loved finally getting to tear into some gifts!

We had a great time at GiGi's house. She gave Josh and I a heated mattress pad that is amazing! It has dual control and it keeps us cozy! Love Christmastime at my mom's!

Also, on Christmas Eve we let Wyatt open one of his gifts under the tree. He liked his cute pajamas and mommy and daddy somehow had matching sets!
