Wyatt is 18 Months!

On April 10th Wyatt turned 18 months old - one and half years old! That does not seem anywhere near possible! He is learning something new everyday and amazes me with his intelligence and humor. He has definitely started testing boundaries and is so curious. He loves to be outside! His favorite thing, by far, is to ride on the tractor with daddy. He also likes throwing rocks in the creek, riding his own tractor and truck, sliding, blowing bubbles, and walking Mardi. His favorite word is "hot." He has the cutest little personality and has really learned how to turn the charm on and oh does it melt my heart! He also cuts his eyes and stares at you as if he was looking over the top of glasses.

We have been teaching him to put his clothes in the laundry basket and put his dishes in the sink. He is such a good helper and now takes his clothes to his laundry basket before bath every night. We have been working on praying hands, also. He does a good job with this, too. We are still working on not eating before the food is blessed. ;) When we ask him to say Amen he gives a firm head shake. He also does this when we ask him to say please and thank you.
Sneak Peek from 18 month photo session!

He has learned how to give kisses. They are so sweet and are complete with a big "Muah!" They are the sweetest thing ever...once again he has found the way to his momma's heart! Whenever he finds a boo-boo he insists on kissing it and also wants us to kiss it too. He will also kiss our boo-boos.

Wyatt loves to say "uh-oh." He enunciates so well. He says it if something falls, if he falls, or if he spills something. If you don't see the spill he will point to it while saying "uh-oh" and wants you to give him a towel so he can clean it up. He's such a big helper.

Wyatt likes to shoot hoops on the little hoop we have inside the house. He's pretty good! He loves balls and will point and say ball anytime he sees one. He can tell you how old he is by holding up one finger and he will tell you that a puppy dog says "ruff-ruff" and a cow says "moo." He can point to most of his body parts when you ask him and can pick objects out on the pages of books very well. Wyatt is quite the dancer! His moves keep us laughing all the time! We like to sing silly songs to get him to dance. He really likes to sing "The Itsy Bity Spider" along with doing the hand motions.

On April 23rd we went to see Dr. Blair for Wyatt's 18 month check-up. It was a great visit. Although, I was sweating by the time we left. He kept me busy chasing him all over the place. As he was running from the door to the wall (to tell me the electrical outlet is hot) to the trashcan in the exam room Dr. Blair said I know he is wearing you out, but he is being completely normal. Those words weren't exactly comforting in the moment, but great to hear nonetheless. He is 33.25 inches tall and 26 pounds 10.5 ounces. Dr. Blair said he is growing perfectly along his growth curves and is developmentally right where he needs to be. No shots this time! No more shots until he is 4! But, we will continue to see Dr. Blair for check-ups on an annual basis.
