Our First Family Vacation!

We had a great time in Florida on our first family vacation! Josh and I also celebrated our 5th anniversary while on vacation. We headed out early Thursday morning to the Little Rock Airport for Wyatt's first (there were a lot of firsts for Wyatt on this trip) airplane ride. I was nervous, but everything went smoothly. Wyatt did fantastic on the airplane!

On the airplane headed to Florida!

We were greeted by CJ when we arrived at the Orlando/Sanford Airport. We were so excited to see her! We claimed our luggage and made the trip down to Cape Coral after a quick stop for lunch. We enjoyed some swimming pool time and ate pizza when Dennis made it home later that evening.

We woke up the next morning and packed up to go to the beach - Wyatt's first trip to the beach! I think Wyatt liked CJ's convertible and Josh and I liked being able to drop him in the carseat.

Cool guy!
Headed to the beach!

We spent the day at the beautiful beach of Sanibel. Joshua found tons of sand dollars and Wyatt loved splashing in the water and playing in the sand.

We made it! Ready to hit the beach!

After a beautiful and fun day at the beach we headed home to rest up before Josh and I went out for dinner for our 5th anniversary. We had a great time celebrating 5 awesome years together while Wyatt had fun at home with CJ and D. Josh and I had dinner at Bahama Breeze and went shopping at Coconut Point mall. Bahama Breeze was extra special as it was one of the places we had dinner on our honeymoon.

Wyatt fell asleep with Aunt CJ before
we returned home!

Saturday we went back to Sanibel for another great day - only this time Dennis was able to join us! It was a very exciting and adventurous day at the beach as we got to see an alligator swimming out in the ocean. The police officer told us the gator probably came from a nearby brackish area and couldn't go back due to all the people at the beach.

Anniversary cake for breakfast! After all, this is vacation!

After enjoying another day at the beach we were ready for some yummy food and ice cream at DQ on the island!

Sunday was Father's Day! What an awesome place for Josh and Wyatt to spend Father's Day together. We got together with K-Paw and Grandpa for Father's Day before we left for Florida - fun times as usual! We are truly blessed with some really great dads in our family!

We did a little shopping and enjoyed the rest of the day swimming and cooking out by the pool.

been so ready to have her calm house back!

Monday, CJ and D had to work for a little while so we decided to try out Fort Myers Beach. It was another fun day at the beach! We rented an umbrella for the day, had lunch at a beachside restaurant and played in the wake from the boats and jet skis.

Love this picture of these two sweeties!

Seaweed hair!

After the beach we headed back to the house to clean up, rest up and go pick up CJ. On the way back to the house from CJ's office we had an adventurous time chasing down a UPS truck. We finally caught it at an intersection where Joshua jumped out of the car and hand delivered the package to the driver. I wish I would have snapped a picture! Fun times and memories!

Later in the evening we headed back to Sanibel for some beach pictures and then on to dinner at Parrot Key.

Checking out the turtle we saw on our walk back to the car

Tuesday morning we took care of some last minute errands and then we were off to Orlando! I was so excited the entire drive! We arrived at Disney's All Star Sports Resort that afternoon, checked in, unloaded the cars, and headed to Downtown Disney where we had dinner at Captain Jack's!

This is Wyatt's "I'm at Disney World" face!

After a fun night at Downtown Disney we headed back to the room to get some rest and get ready to head to the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday! Wyatt fell asleep pretty fast and Josh and I watched game 6 - Heat vs Spurs of the NBA finals over a pizza and a coke! Fun night!
We woke up early Wednesday morning and headed to Cape May for our breakfast reservations with Donald, Minnie, and Goofy!
Then we were off to the park!

And this is how Wyatt enjoyed the light parade!

It was such a fun time and most definitely a memorable trip! Wyatt had a special shirt, made by Aunt Whit, that said "My 1st Visit." He also had a shirt that all the characters signed and a special glow in the dark shirt with Mickey on it from MiMi and KPaw. We saved this shirt for the light parade, but Wyatt had other plans of catching up on sleep! We left Disney with full and happy hearts! It was awesome to make memories with my sweet little family!

Thursday morning, early Thursday morning, we headed to the airport. We were sad to say goodbye to CJ and D, but we had a great week with them and were so happy and thankful they let us vacation to their house! After a change of planes due to mechanical issues we arrived back home in Little Rock safe and sound. Wyatt was a trooper and a great traveler! Best trip ever!!
