Wyatt's 2nd Birthday Party!

On Saturday, October 12th we celebrated Wyatt's 2nd birthday. We planned for the party to be outside at our house, but due to rain we moved the party inside the Mountain Springs Elementary gym...thank you, MiMi!

We had a blast visiting with everyone at the party and were so thankful for our friends and family that came to celebrate our sweet boy and for those who sent him birthday wishes and gifts! I think Wyatt had a great time, too! I began planning this party in July in hopes of avoiding a chaotic time of planning during school. I was so glad that I had a head start. Whitney helped me finish up some last minute things and with everyone's help the party was moved into the gym with no problems! Whitney also helped me make some decorations to accommodate the gym and we were good to go!

Wyatt loved playing in the bounce house and playing ball with the kids. He also enjoyed opening more gifts and blowing out candles again! He's one blessed little boy!

At the end of the party, after most everyone had left, we stayed to clean up and load up the truck with Wyatt's new toys. We turned the blower off that supplied the bounce house with air. However, once the bounce house deflated it still looked like there was quite a bit of air in places of the bounce house. Josh and James decided to run and jump on these places in an attempt to bounce David Austin up in the air. As I was finishing up some clean up I noticed everyone was gathered around the bounce house, but I could see Wyatt and I thought Josh was outside putting stuff in the truck so I told myself they were just playing with the kids. After a few minutes I realized something more was going on. I walked over to the bounce house and found Josh laying on the floor. I laughed at him and told him to get up and helped him stand up. Upon standing Josh immediately asked for a chair to sit down and his face went pale. I knew something was wrong and I began to feel faint. We loaded Josh up in James' truck with the help of my dad picking him up and sitting him in the front seat and were headed to the emergency room. However, Josh convinced us he was fine and would just like some Advil and to go home. Whitney told him he had a couple of hours and if he wasn't better he was going to the emergency room. She also called her sister in law who is an orthopaedic nurse and she strongly advised Josh to go to the hospital especially since Dr. Weber was on call. Josh had to have help getting in and out of the truck and help getting in the house. Soon after we got Josh in the house KPaw came over and made Josh go to the hospital. I stayed home with Wyatt while Whitney and KPaw accompanied Josh to the ER. It wasn't long until I received the news from Josh that his hip was indeed fractured...to be continued!
